CampuSafeVR

CampuSafeVR is a Virtual Reality experience that allows users to learn how to manage emergencies within a virtual university residence, preparing them for real-life scenarios.

Making the students who populate a residence prepared to manage this type of emergency is essential for their safety and VR training reduces the need for expensive physical simulations and minimizes logistical challenges.

The experience is made up of 3 phases: in the first one you have inspect your room and to rearrange the items on the floor to avoid blocking the escape routes, then you will access the corridor and you have to inspect it in order to find escape routes, alarm buttons and fire extinguisher. In the final phase you will experience a real fire scenario where you will have to carry out all the correct procedures.

The application can be played in 3 different modes:

Educational: In this phase you will be guided by a voice that will help you to manage every step of the emergency. It is very useful if it is the first time that you try the app

Training: This is the game mode that you can play as many times as you want to improve your knowledge about  the guidelines to follow. You are no longer followed step by step but you can ask for a hint whenever you want.

Exam: When you feel confident about your preparation, you can try the exam mode to test your skills without any help but be careful, if you make more than 3 errors you will fail the exam and you will have to retry it.
